Get to know PWA endorsed candidates Rep. Winnie Brinks and Rachel Hood, two of the featured speakers at our annual fundraiser "Powerful Women for Challenging Times"!
Rachel Hood is running for the 76th District seat in the Michigan House of Representatives. She knows our future depends on a thriving public education system, securing the right to affordable health care, safe infrastructure and clean water. Hood is a project manager for Chase Park Grants, and the former director of the West Michigan Environmental Action Council.
Rep. Winnie Brinks represents Michigan's 76th House District (Grand Rapids), and is running to represent the 29th Senate District. Since 2013, Brinks has been the hardest-working legislator in Lansing on issues affecting women, veterans, seniors, and schoolchildren. She sponsored proposals to cut taxes for middle-class families, improve the quality of care at the Grand Rapids Home for Veterans, and to hold the state government accountable to citizens.
Join us on November 19th to hear directly from these candidates, as well as Secretary of State candidate Jocelyn Benson and gubernatorial candidate Gretchen Whitmer. More information and registration is available HERE.
