In Grand Rapids
Programs are generally held on the third Wednesday of each month (except December) at the Women’s City Club in downtown Grand Rapids. Refreshments are at 5 pm and the program runs from 5:30 to 6:30 pm. For more information, contact us at program@progressivewomensalliance.org.

Along the Lakeshore

In February 2008, PWA hosted a public forum featuring U.S. Sen. Carl Levin, chairman of the Senate Armed Services Committee, speaking on “One Year After the Surge: Where Do We Stand? Where Do We Go From Here?” A full house heard the senator’s assessment that the surge had helped reduce violence in Iraq, but that progress by the Iraqis toward working out a political solution has lagged. |
